The Book Works is commited to understanding the impact of our programs and services and to finding ways to improve them. Our program evaluation tools:
1
Daily Reflections
Participants are asked to share the benefits and areas of improvement at the end of each program. Imput is compiled and shared with program team.
2
Pre-Post Inventory
The Book Works creates or utilizes validated pre-post instruments to measure the impact of the programming. Analysis is completed by external evaluators.
3
Participant Feedback
Following program exit, youth and parents are texted a survey to collect feedback on their satisfaction with the services provided. Results are externally compiled.
4
Staff Observations
Team members complete program observation forms and discuss findings at weekly team check-ins. With this information, the team modifies the program for individual youth or all participants.
5
Youth Representation
Youth and young adults serve on the Board of Directors, the Program Committee, Evaluation Team, and participate in short-term focus groups for their perspective on program impact and areas of improvement.
